Chemicals have been the staple choice for any contract cleaner, janitor or household user. They've keeped our surfaces clean, fresh and free of germs for many decades. But what about the effect it has on the environment?

Although chemicals provide a proven effective method of cleaning surfaces and removing bad odours, all chemicals have a negative effect on the environment from the air we breathe in to our oceans and rivers.

Canadian based manufacturers Tersano said enough is enough. With those words in mind, Tersano have produced a new and innovative way to cleaning your surfaces, without the need for ANY chemicals! The new iClean Mini and the Tersano SAO dispenser provide an all-in-one solution for your general cleaning tasks from surface cleaning, window cleaning and even disinfecting.

The Tersano SAO Dispenser is a fully compliant dispenser of SAO (Stabilised Aqueous Ozone) which is created from 2 ingredients: regular tap water and oxygen. It's a completely harmless solution that's just as effective as any all purpose cleaner, disinfectant or sanitiser with the added benefit of having no effect on you and the environment. This dispenser works by collecting, filtering and cleaning regular tap water through Tersano's cartridge filtration system. Oxygen (O2) from the air is also collected and electrified to generate ozone (O3). Ozone is then infused with the filter water to create a powerful all-in-one cleaner, deodouriser and sanitiser. SAO is naturally attracted to organic matters such as germs and bacteria which are then broken down into smaller particles through a process called oxidation. After a short period of time, the SAO is reverted back to water and pure oxygen.

This iClean mini is a portable aqueous ozone sprayer. The base of the iClean mini holds regular tap water. It’s easy to remove and refill, has an anti-skid base and a window to display water volume. Next, there’s a replaceable filter to remove impurities in the water and keep your device healthy. Expect to replace yours every three months, on average. Clean, filtered water travels up through a pump to a diamond electrode core that adds an extra atom and turns the water into aqueous ozone.

Today our sales team were put to the test with some training on how to strip a floor with a floor rotary machine.

Floor stripping can go bad very quickly unless you know what you're doing. With help from Manager Joe, the sales team were put through the proper how's and whys as to what to do when stripping a floor (Morgan certainly looks like she's having fun!).

The newly renovated shop floor has given us a good workspace to carry out all kinds of training from floor stripping to proper surface cleaning techniques. Although Christmas will be much quieter this year for everyone, Capital have still managed to keep the festive cheer with our bigger and better secret Santa. Lots of interesting looking presents under the tree this year guys...

Capital are proud to announce that we've donated a large supply of clothing and PPE to the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI).

100's of fleeces, jackets, trousers and vests have been donated to help support the homeless keep warm and wrapped up this Winter. That's almost £1,000 worth of goods!

We wish everyone all the best at the RBLI and thank you for giving us an opportunity to help do our bit this year.

With our constant expansion – Capital have now invested in a hot water boiler to help our constant tea and coffee makers whittle their drink making time down and be at hand whenever you ring us – whether this is to place an order or ask a question.

True milestone in company growth!

Today marks another expansion at Capital – we have purchased another two vans to help with product demand across the UK with our van routes extending past Manchester on a weekly basis.

Not only do we have all of our 7 vehicles out on the roads every day, we also send out 100s of parcels via our next day courier service. There truly isn’t a moment at Capital where stock isn’t arriving or departing our shop floor!

Paul Robinson, Internal Sales Representative has marked his final day at Capital.

Being a phenomenal account manager for 10 years at Capital he sure has seen us grow and develop into the business we are today, we thank Paul for all of the hard work he has put in over the years and we wish him all the best throughout his retirement.

Yet another Christmas is almost upon us and the Capital crew are preparing to celebrate.

2019 has proved to be not only a busy year but a successful year too, with things settling down (slightly!) from the merge with Westbourne and Kent Cleaning Supplies. Today we'll be celebrating with another escape room (don't worry Steph, I'm going to give MAXIMUM effort...) followed by a festive meal in Maidstone with some of us enjoying some celebratory drinks afterwards. Today proves to be a night to remember!

The Capital crew enjoyed a fun Saturday evening celebrating an upcoming wedding in the business.

The team went out on Saturday to take on an escape room for Emily who is due to be married soon and we hope that she's getting excited just as much as the rest of us are! Most had never done an Escape Room before so it was a new experience all around but after a slow start, we persevered and completed the trial with 7 and a half minutes to spare (phew!!).

Capital Cleaning has officially merged with Westbourne Hygiene Supplies.

This year has certainly been a busy one and with not one but two extra business assets under our belts, we've got a lot of work to do! We have taken on some new  sales reps to further expand our customer base and increase customer interaction as well as taken on a vast array of new products to fill our warehouse with.

Current Westbourne customer will be pleased to know that all accounts are being migrated to our systems so everything from codes to sales history will still be available to help make ordering through us an easier and hassle free experience.

The Capital warehouse has been treated to some extra mezzanine flooring!

After our recent merging with Kent Cleaning Supplies Ltd, we have made a few changes and upgrades to our warehouse to further improve the quality of our service. As we have inherited many new products and are consistently adding more products to our expansive selection, we've installed two mezzanine flooring sections to allow us to stock more items.

With many more improvements and changes expected over the coming months, the team at Capital would like to take a moment to thank you all once again for the continued support and for following us on our journey to becoming a bigger and better company!
